Orders and Shipping

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

Due to the handmade to order nature of all my designs, I ask that you allow 3-5 working days for me to knit your item. It will then be shipped according to the service you chose at checkout as soon as it is ready. You will be notified by email once it has shipped, with tracking info, if you selected a track & trace service.

Will I Have to Pay Customs Tax on my Order?

All orders are shipped DAP/DDU (aka Delivered Duty Unpaid). Wool & Water/Whiskers takes responsibility for shipping the product and requires the customer to pay any import costs, such as VAT, duties, and clearing fees. 

Customs fees only apply to orders shipped outside of the EU and are dependent on the value of the order.

Do You Ship Internationally?

Absolutely! I am proud to ship my designs worldwide and I do my best to offer reasonable shipping rates.

What payment methods do you accept?

All of them, you can use iDeal, Credit Cards, Apple Pay, Shop Pay...if it is widely accepted you can use it.

I am not taking crypto, this knitter has yet to get her head around all that.

Return Policy

What's your return policy?

Due to the knit-to-order, handmade nature of your order we do not accept returns or permit exchanges, unless the Product is found to be faulty on arrival and the fault is not due to poor care (contrary to care instructions given on the website, your invoice and with your product). 

In ordering a W&W piece the customer acknowledges that the item is handmade, knit to order and made to colour specification therefore the Euro Directive exemption applies and there is no right to return/refund.

In order to return a faulty item please email with your order number for a Return Number (RN). You will find the order number on your original invoice, please return all to us along with the Product.

A full refund will be issued for items returned due to fault. If you have returned the goods to us within 14 days of receiving your refund request email and we agree that the goods are faulty we will offer you a full refund or replacement (depending on customer preference and yarn availability).

We do not accept responsibility of returned items until these goods have reached our premises. We therefore ask any Customers who are returning goods to use a secure postal service whereby they can track their package.

Refunds will be processed within 7 working days.

Can I make changes to or cancel my order?

I generally start knitting every new order asap so if you have changes to make, please email me on as soon as possible and I will do my best to accommodate you.

Similarly with cancelled orders, if I have not yet knitted it I will be happy to help.

Do you do exchanges?

I have never had a request for an exchange to date however if you are after a different size cat or dog bow tie, I will be happy to accommodate you.

I do ask that you cover the costs to return the original item to me, using a track and trace service and the cost to ship the replacement item back to you.

Common Questions

My Cat Doesn't Wear a Collar, is that a Problem?

After much market research I designed my Cat and Dog Bow Ties to attach around collars, without the need to remove the collar first.
Your Cat (and Dog) will have no idea they are wearing a Wool & Whiskers Bow Tie due to it's light and flexible nature, however, if your Cat will not tolerate a collar, it is non starter as my Bow Tie needs to clip around something to attach.

How Long Does it Take You to Knit a Bow Tie?

This varies from piece to piece, based on size, complexity of design etc but Cat and Dog Bow Ties take anything from 45mins to an hour and Wool & Water Bow Ties take approximately 3 hours from start to packaged finish.
